Our 984F range of cloth tapes are backed with an abrasive aid, making them ideal for medium to high pressure applications. 3M (TM) Cubitron (TM) II 984F cloth belts provide a fast cut with less heat build-up, ensuring consistent finish results over the life of the product. At the same time, it prevents burning when sanding with end grain. Our cloth belts are made of 3M (TM) ceramic abrasive grain, which is electrostatically aligned to form sharp points that work like individual cutting tools and cut quickly through the metal. These points break off during grinding and thus continuously sharpen themselves. This increases the service life and enables uniform finishing results with less grinding pressure. For this reason, our cloth belts outperform and outlast any conventional ceramic abrasive for industrial applications on the market. They have a cloth bond that provides greater strength when sanding with medium to high contact pressure.
