With the 3M (TM) Cubitron (TM) II flap disc 969F, 3M is adding a more robust version to its flap disc line, which scores with a longer service life thanks to its optimized design for higher contact pressure and more critical surfaces (burrs). Features of this flap disc are the higher packing density of the abrasive flaps paired with a resistant flap backing. The 3M precision-formed ceramic grain contributes significantly to the performance of this disc. The grain tips of the triangular flakes break during the sanding process, leaving sharp cutting edges at all times. The surface of the material is therefore continuously cleanly processed. The result is fast, cool sanding and an extended service life of the abrasive.
