Green translucent tape for splicing siliconized protective papers, masking in etching and anodizing processes, electrostatic powder coating and roll tinning of printed circuits. Our 3M (TM) Polyester Tape 8402 is a thin, conformable polyester tape that is ideal for masking at high temperatures and adheres well to silicone-coated surfaces. The tape consists of a silicone adhesive that is well suited for masking and can be removed cleanly from most surfaces in one piece. This tape is also characterized by permanent splicing on silicone linings, papers and films exposed to high temperatures. The green color makes it easy to identify. With exceptional chemical resistance, this tape works effectively under some of the most demanding working conditions, such as anodizing. The pressure sensitive silicone adhesive works in a wide temperature range from 50°C (60°F) to 218°C (425°F). Our 3M (TM) Polyester Tape 8402 has a long service life and is designed to adhere firmly and remain flexible.
