The Scotch-Brite (TM) Hookit (TM) CF-HA non-woven disc is a durable finishing disc that can be changed quickly with the 3M (TM) Hookit (TM) quick change system and is held securely in place during use. Our discs conform to irregular surfaces and provide a clean, even finish that will not undercut or damage the base material. With the Scotch-Brite (TM) Hookit (TM) Clean and Finish sanding disc, you can achieve a professional finish on solid surfaces, painted automotive sheet metal and other materials. Our sanding discs adapt well to irregular surfaces and ensure a clean, perfect surface finish. The workpiece is not under-sanded or damaged. With the Scotch-Brite Hookit Clean and Finish sanding discs you can achieve a high rotational speed (rpm) of the sanding machines. But they can also be used with a hand backing pad for manual processing. They work effectively for light to medium-duty cleaning, satin finishing, blending scratches, deburring and creating matt finishes on aluminum, stainless steel and other metals. They are also suitable for working on plastic, wood and fiberglass. These durable abrasive discs are filled with ultra-fine silicon carbide abrasive. Silicon carbide is a very sharp-edged, synthetic abrasive that is commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. Although it removes faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a higher quality finish. Scotch-Brite is a unique surface preparation product with abrasives incorporated into a nylon fiber web. The combination of abrasives and fibers creates an abrasive system that provides consistent results over the life of the product.
