The Scotch-Brite (TM) Roloc (TM) non-woven disc combines our non-woven technology with the efficient Roloc quick-change system and is suitable for effective cleaning, finishing, blending and deburring. These discs are made of non-woven fibers that adapt well to irregular surfaces. Use the Scotch-Brite (TM) Roloc (TM) non-woven disc for a variety of tasks such as blending, deburring and finishing. Made from highly malleable fibers that conform to and maintain all irregular or profiled surfaces, our non-woven discs use fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. In addition, they are equipped with the efficient 3M (TM) Roloc (TM) quick-change system, which supports the grinding wheel in aggressive applications and enables fast wheel changes. The open fiber structure of the discs ensures cool grinding, prevents clogging and reduces the risk of tarnishing and warping of parts. The aluminum oxide abrasives enable high stock removal and consistent surface quality. Aluminum oxide is a robust, durable abrasive that breaks off continuously during use, exposing fresh cut edges. Conventional abrasives, such as garnet, wear down comparatively quickly during use. Due to its high removal rate, hardness, strength and low heat build-up, aluminum oxide abrasive mineral is often used for sharpening, grinding and finishing applications. It is suitable for use on a wide range of materials in both woodworking and metalworking applications, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite (TM) non-woven products contain abrasives that are integrated into nylon or synthetic non-woven fibers. The combination of abrasives and fibers creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The fibers are dust repellent so that the abrasive minerals retain their high cutting performance due to less clogging of the fibers; this also extends the service life of the disc. 3M Roloc TR quick-change discs are smaller discs with a plastic threaded knob or screw. These discs can be quickly and easily attached to a Roloc TR sanding disc* so that the discs can be easily replaced by simply turning them.
