The 3M (TM) Trizact (TM) Fabric Abrasive Belt 237AA features proprietary microreplication technology in which micron-grade aluminum oxide particles are formed into small pyramids of abrasive mineral and then applied to an X-Last fabric backing. As these pyramids are removed, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed to create a uniform cut and a predictable, accurate finish. Use 3M (TM) Trizact (TM) Fabric Tape 237AA with fast-cutting aluminum oxide for a consistent finish on hard metals such as carbon steel and stainless steel. Our fabric tapes feature 3M's unique microreplication technology, which applies micron-sized aluminum oxide grains formed into defined pyramids in a binder matrix onto an X-fabric backing. At medium contact pressure, these pyramids wear away continuously, exposing fresh, sharp abrasive mineral to produce an even cut and a consistent, fine finish. The durable backing of the 237AA cloth belts ensures consistent conformability and effective sanding with medium pressure. The resin-bonded abrasive is characterized by greater heat resistance and prevents grain loss. The abrasive grains in its three-dimensional pyramid structure are evenly distributed over the entire surface and ensure consistent performance. These pyramids are made up of layers of abrasive grain that wear away from the top during the finishing process, exposing fresh abrasive grain on an ongoing basis. The abrasive mineral renewal cycle ensures that the abrasive always retains the same sharpness. These mesh belts have a film seal - a robust, secure bond that glues the belt ends together and consists of a thin film medium that prevents chatter marks. This ensures a consistently smooth belt run and an even finish. Our Trizact abrasives produce a finer finish, achieve faster results and last up to five times longer than conventional two-dimensional abrasives. They provide precise finishing control, allow operators to reduce the number of passes with different grits and therefore require fewer process steps and abrasives.
