The 3M Xtract (TM) Cubitron (TM) Film Disc 775L has a patented 3M (TM) Multihole perforation that provides better dust extraction during finishing. Part of the 3M Xtract (TM) series, the ultimate in dust removal and performance. Our innovative multi-hole perforation provides better dust extraction than products with five or six holes - improving removal and significantly increasing tool life. With this design, there is no need to align it with the holes of the sanding disc, making disc changes quick, easy and convenient. The disc features the 3M precision-formed ceramic grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to cut through the substrate instead of gouging or "plowing" it like conventional abrasives. This gives the disc twice the removal rate and up to six times the life of conventional discs. The film backing material offers excellent tear resistance and flexibility and enables a uniform and consistent finish on a variety of substrates. These discs are ideal for a wide range of applications where material removal is key. They work particularly well on a wide range of substrates, especially metals, composites, gel coats and white wood. The film backing material offers better tear resistance than paper discs, providing additional durability and edge stability. The best results can be achieved together with 3M Xtract (TM) random orbital sanders. The open scattering provides more space between the abrasive grains, so that dust and other abrasive particles are removed more easily instead of clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The dust-repellent coating allows the disc to sand softwoods, lacquers and other materials for longer, which would otherwise clog the disc and impair its sanding ability. All this ensures higher productivity and lower material consumption. When dust cannot clog the cutting edge of the abrasives, sanding paper discs provide stronger and faster removal. The patented multi-hole perforation on our 3M Xtract products removes dust faster than products with five or six holes. This hole design does not need to be aligned with the holes of the sanding disc. This allows for quick and easy disk changes. Use this disc together with a 3M Xtract backing pad and a random orbital sander with dust extraction (both sold separately) to ensure optimal dust extraction.
