The 3M Xtract (TM) Paper Disc 236U has a patented 3M (TM) Multihole perforation that provides better dust extraction during finishing. Our innovative multihole perforation provides better dust extraction than products with five or six holes - improving removal and significantly increasing tool life. With this design, there is no need to align them with the holes of the sanding disc, making disc changes quick, easy and convenient. 3M's Profi Series abrasives are designed to offer an unbeatable combination of performance and value. The open coating and special coating make them particularly resistant to clogging. The 3M Xtract (TM) Paper Disc 236U is ideal for blending and finishing on aluminum and carbon steel as well as in woodworking for heavy and medium stock removal and finishing on hardwood, softwood and composite woods. Our machine sanding discs are also ideal for primers, paints, sealants, top coats, fiberglass and plastics. The firm C-weight paper backing of our 3M Xtract paper disc 236U can withstand even aggressive sanding work and shows only minimal edge wear. The open scattering provides more space between the abrasive grains, allowing dust to escape through the gaps instead of clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The dust-repellent coating allows the disc to sand softwoods, lacquers and other materials for longer, which would otherwise clog the disc and impair its sanding ability. When dust cannot clog the cutting edge of the abrasive, sandpaper discs provide stronger and faster removal. The 3M Xtract discs are designed for optimal dust extraction, so reducing the amount of dust is now easier than ever. Use this disc together with a 3M Xtract backing pad and a random orbital sander with dust extraction (both sold separately) to ensure optimal dust extraction. The patented multi-hole perforation of our 3M Xtract products removes dust faster than products with five or six holes. Thanks to the multihole perforation, the dust is removed from the windshield at a high rate. This hole design does not need to be aligned with the holes of the sanding disc (which is attached to the random orbital sander and sold separately). This allows for quick and easy disc changes.
