Small but tough sanding jobs to remove old material and prepare surfaces are almost impossible to do with conventional sanders or by hand. Even if you can reach the surface, the sandpaper will tear. With the EXPERT Sanding Plate, however, you can reach corners and sand difficult materials with your oscillating multifunction tool. The coarse, open grains of the RT2 (20 grit) are best suited for removing mortar behind tiles, carpet adhesive or for rough work on wood. The RT4 (40 grit) is best suited to removing thick paint, but can also handle mortar and glue.
