The HSS stepped drill bit drills holes of various diameters smoothly and burr-free. It is ideal for drilling and enlarging holes. Center-punching is not necessary, as the cross-ground drill point makes drilling easier. The CNC-milled spiral flute optimally removes swarf and enables even drilling. Axial and radial relief grinding enable maximum cutting performance and absolutely smooth results. The step drill bit is suitable for thin materials made of non-ferrous metal, stainless steel and plastic as well as sheet steel and plastic sheets. The drill bit is made of HSS steel and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride). This enables maximum service life without the use of coolant. The easily recognizable and permanent diameter markings in both spiral flutes are laser-cut. The 3-face shank also prevents slipping in the chuck and enables high torques to be transmitted.
