TOUGH mounted point ball Ø 8x8 mm shank Ø 3 mm CO46 for difficult-to-machine materials. The TOUGH version is particularly suitable for use on titanium materials, nickel and cobalt-based alloys as well as for machining hardened steel components and build-up welding. Machining tasks include the grinding of repair welds and the reworking of turbine blades during aircraft maintenance and the regrinding of repair welds in tool and mold making. The spherical shape KU is often used for grinding contours and deburring on the back.
